1 Samuel 15:1 (BNV) Bengali Old BSI Version

1 একদিন শমূয়েল শৌলকে বলল, “প্রভু তোমায় ইস্রায়েলে তাঁর লোকদের রাজা হিসাবে অভিষেক করতে আমাকে পাঠিয়েছিলেন| তাই এখন প্রভুর বার্তা শোনো|
2 সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভু বলেছেন: ‘যখন ইস্রায়েলীয়রা মিশর থেকে বেরিয়ে আসছিল তখন অমালেকীয়রা তাদের কনানে যেতে বাধা দিয়েছিল| অমালেকীয়রা কি করেছে আমি সব দেখেছি|
3 এখন যাও, অমালেকীয়দের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করো| ওদের তোমরা একেবারে শেষ করে দাও, ওদের সব কিছু ভেঙ্গে চুরে তছনছ করে দাও| কাউকে বাঁচতে দিও না| ছেলে মেয়ে কাউকে বাদ দেবে না| তাদের সমস্ত গরু, মেষ উটও তোমরা শেষ করে দেবে|”
4 শৌল টলাযীমে সমস্ত সৈন্য জড়ো করলেন| পদাতিক সৈন্য 2,00,000 জন আর অন্যান্যরা 10,000 জন| এদের মধ্যে যিহূদার লোকরাও ছিল|
5 তারপর শৌল চলে গেলেন অমালেকীয়দের শহরে| উপত্যকায গিয়ে তিনি অপেক্ষা করতে লাগলেন|
6 কেনীয়দের শৌল বলল, ‘তোমরা সবাই অমালেকীয়দের ছেড়ে দিয়ে চলে যাও| তাহলে আমি ওদের সঙ্গে তোমাদের বিনষ্ট করব না| যখন ইস্রায়েলীয়রা মিশর ছেড়ে চলে আসছিল, তোমরা ইস্রায়েলীয়দের দয়াদাক্ষিণ্য দেখিয়েছিল|” একথা শুনে কেনীয়রা অমালেকীয়দের ছেড়ে চলে গেল|
7 শৌল অমালেকীয়দের হারিয়ে দিলেন| তাদের তাড়িয়ে নিয়ে গেলেন সেই হবীলা থেকে শূর অবধি যেখানে মিশরের সীমানা|
8 অমালেকীয়দের রাজা ছিল অগাগ| শৌল জীবিত অবস্থায় অগাগকে বন্দী করেছিলেন এবং বাকী অমালেকীয়দের হত্যা করেছিলেন|
9 সব কিছু ধ্বংস করতে শৌলের এবং ইস্রায়েলীয়দের মন চাইল না| সেইজন্য তারা অগাগকে মেরে ফেলে নি| তাছাড়া পুষ্ট গাভী, সেরা মেষগুলোকেও তারা জীবিত রেখেছিল| সেই সঙ্গে আর যে সব জিনিস রেখে দেবার মতো, সেগুলোও রেখে দিয়েছিল| ঐগুলো তারা নষ্ট করতে চায নি| যেগুলো রাখার য়োগ্য় নয়, সেগুলোকে তারা নষ্ট করে দিয়েছিল|
10 শমূয়েল প্রভুর কাছ থেকে একটি বার্তা পেল|
11 প্রভু বললেন, “শৌল আমাকে মানছে না| ওকে রাজা করেছিলাম বলে আমার অনুশোচনা হচ্ছে| সে আমার কথামত কাজ করছে না|” শমূয়েল একথা শুনে ক্রুদ্ধ হল| সারারাত ধরে কেঁদে কেঁদে সে প্রভুর কাছে প্রার্থনা করল|
12 পরদিন খুব ভোরে শমূয়েল শৌলের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে গেল| কিন্তু লোকরা শমূয়েলকে বলল, “শৌল যিহূদার কর্মিল শহরে চলে গেছেন| সেখানে তিনি নিজের সম্মান বাড়াতে একটা পাথরের মূর্ত্তি তৈরী করেছেন| তিনি এখন নানা জায়গায় ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছেন| সবশেষে তিনি গিল্গলে যাবেন|”তাদের কথা শুনে শমূয়েল শৌল যেখানে ছিলেন সেখানে গেল| তখন শৌল সবে অমালেকীয়দের কাছ থেকে নেওয়া জিনিসগুলোর প্রথম অংশ প্রভুকে নিবেদন করেছিল| এগুলো সবই শৌল হোমবলি রূপে প্রভুকে উত্সর্গ করেছিল|
13 শমূয়েল শৌলের কাছে গেল| শৌল তাকে বললেন, “প্রভু তোমার মঙ্গল করুন| আমি প্রভুর নির্দেশ পালন করেছি|”
14 তখন শমূয়েল বলল, “তাহলে আমি কিসের শব্দ শুনলাম? আমি কেন মেষ আর গরুর ডাক শুনতে পেলাম?”
15 শৌল বললেন, “ওগুলো সৈন্যরা অমালেকীয়দের কাছ থেকে নিয়ে এসেছে| তারা তোমাদের প্রভু ঈশ্বরের কাছে হোমবলি হিসেবে উত্সর্গ করবার জন্য সবচেয়ে উত্কৃষ্ট মেষ আর গবাদি পশু প্রদান করেছিল| কিন্তু বাকি সবকিছুই আমরা শেষ করে দিয়েছি|”
16 শমূয়েল বলল, “চুপ করো| গত রাত্রে প্রভু আমাকে যা বলেছিলেন শোনো|”শৌল বললেন, “বেশ, বলো তিনি কি বলেছিলেন|”
17 শমূয়েল বলল, “অতীতে তুমি ভাবতে তুমি গুরুত্বহীন ছিলে| কিন্তু পরে তুমি হয়ে গেলে ইস্রায়েলের পরিবারগোষ্ঠীর নেতা| প্রভু ইস্রায়েলের রাজা হিসাবে তোমাকে মনোনীত করেছিলেন|
18 প্রভু তোমাকে একটা বিশেষ কাজে পাঠিয়েছিলেন| প্রভু বললেন, ‘যাও, সমস্ত অমালেকীয়দের হত্যা কর| কারণ তারা সবাই পাপী| সবাইকে শেষ করে দাও| তারা নিঃশেষে বিনষ্ট না হওয়া পর্য়ন্ত যুদ্ধ চালিযে যাও|’
19 কিন্তু তুমি প্রভুর সে কথা শোন নি| কারণ তুমি জিনিসপত্র নিজের কাছে রেখে দিতে চেয়েছিলে, তাই প্রভুর কথা অনুযায়ীকাজ করো নি| তাঁর মতে যা খারাপ, সেই কাজ তুমি করেছ!”
20 শৌল বললেন, “কিন্তু আমি তো প্রভুর কথা পালন করেছি| তিনি আমায় যেখানে যেতে বলেছিলেন সেখানে গিয়েছিলাম| আমি অমালেকীয়দের সবাইকে হত্যা করেছি| কেবলমাত্র একজনকেই আমি এনে রেখেছি| তিনি হচ্ছেন তাদের রাজা, অগাগ|
21 আর সৈন্যরা নিয়েছে সেরা মেষ এবং গরু| তাদের বলি দিতে হবে গিল্গলে তোমার প্রভু ঈশ্বরের কাছে|”
22 শমূয়েল বলল, “কিন্তু প্রভু কিসে সবচেয়ে বেশী খুশী হন? হোমবলিতে না তাঁর আদেশ পালনে? বলির চেয়ে তাঁর আদেশ পালন করাই শ্রেয| ভেড়ার চর্বি উত্সর্গ করার চেয়ে ঈশ্বরের বাধ্য হওয়া অনেক ভালো|
23 ঈশ্বরের অবাধ্যতা করা মাযাবিদ্য়ার পাপের মতোই খারাপ| একগুঁযেমি করা এবং তুমি যা চাও তা করা মূর্ত্তিপূজো করার পাপের মতোই ততটা খারাপ| প্রভুর আদেশ তুমি অমান্য করেছ| তাই তিনি তোমাকে রাজা হিসেবে মেনে নিতে অস্বীকার করছেন|”
24 এর উত্তরে শৌল শমূয়েলকে বললেন, “আমি পাপ করেছি| প্রভুর আদেশ আমি শুনি নি, তোমার কথাও আমি শুনি নি| লোকদের আমি ভয় পাই, তারা যা চায আমি তাই করেছি|
25 আমার এই পাপের জন্য তোমার কাছে ক্ষমা চাইছি| আমার সঙ্গে ফিরে চলো, যেন আমি প্রভুকে উপাসনা করতে পারি|”
26 শমূয়েল বলল, “না তোমার সঙ্গে যাব না| তুমি প্রভুর আদেশ মানো নি| তাই প্রভুও ইস্রায়েলের রাজা হিসাবে তোমাকে অস্বীকার করেছেন|”
27 শমূয়েল যখন যাবার জন্য পা বাড়িযেছে, এমন সময় শৌল তাঁর পোশাকটি খপ করে ধরে ফেললেন এবং সেটি ছিঁড়ে গেল|
28 শমূয়েল শৌলকে বলল, “তুমি যেভাবে আমার আলখাল্লা ছিঁড়ে নিয়েছ সেই ভাবেই প্রভু আজ ইস্রাযেল রাজ্য তোমার কাছ থেকে নিয়ে নিয়েছেন| তিনি এই রাজ্য দিয়েছেন তোমারই বন্ধুদের মধ্যে একজনকে| সে তোমার চেয়ে ভাল লোক|
29 প্রভু হচ্ছেন ম্পস্রাযেলের ঈশ্বর| তিনি অমর| তিনি মিথ্য়া বলেন না, মত বদলান না| তিনি মানুষের মতো নন| মানুষই ঘন ঘন মত বদলায|”
30 শৌল বললেন, “স্বীকার করছি, আমি পাপ করেছি| কিন্তু দয়া করে আমার সঙ্গে ফিরে আসুন| প্রবীণদের এবং ইস্রায়েলের লোকদের সামনে আমার সম্মান রাখুন যেন আমি আপনার প্রভু ও ঈশ্বরকে প্রণাম করতে পারি|”
31 শমূয়েল শৌলের সঙ্গে ফিরে এলে শৌল প্রভুকে উপাসনা করলেন|
32 শমূয়েল বলল, “অমালেকীয়দের রাজা অগাগকে আমার কাছে নিয়ে এসো|”অগাগ শমূযেলের কাছে এল| তাকে শিকল দিয়ে বাঁধা হয়েছিল| অগাগ মনে করল, “সে নিশ্চয়ই আমাকে মেরে ফেলবে না|”
33 কিন্তু শমূয়েল অগাগকে বলল, “তোমার তরবারি কত মাযের কোল খালি করেছে| এবার তোমার মাযেরও সেই দশা হবে|” এই বলে শমূয়েল গিল্গলে প্রভুর সামনে অগাগকে টুকরো টুকরো করে কেটে ফেলল|
34 তারপর শমূয়েল রামাতে চলে গেল| শৌল গিবিয়ায় তাঁর বাড়িতে চলে গেলেন|
35 এরপর শমূয়েল তার জীবনে আর কখনও শৌলকে দেখতে পায় নি| সে শৌলের জন্যে খুব দুঃখ বোধ করল| এমনকি প্রভুও শৌলকে ইস্রায়েলের রাজা করেছিলেন বলে খুব দুঃখ পেয়েছিলেন|
1 Samuel H8050 also said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP Saul H7586 , The LORD H3068 EDS sent H7971 VQQ3MS me to anoint H4886 thee to be king H4428 L-CMS over H5921 PREP his people H5971 , over H5921 PREP Israel H3478 : now H6258 W-ADV therefore hearken H8085 VQI2MS thou unto the voice H6963 L-CMS of the words H1697 CMP of the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
2 Thus H3541 saith H559 VQQ3MS the LORD H3068 EDS of hosts H6635 , I remember H6485 that which H834 RPRO Amalek H6002 did H6213 VQQ3MS to Israel H3478 , how H834 RPRO he laid H7760 VQQ3MS wait for him in the way H1870 , when he came up H5927 from Egypt H4714 .
3 Now H6258 ADV go H1980 VQI2MS and smite H5221 Amalek H6002 , and utterly destroy H2763 all H3605 NMS that H834 RPRO they have , and spare H2550 them not H3808 W-NPAR ; but slay H4191 both man H376 M-NMS and H5704 PREP woman H802 NFS , infant H5768 and suckling H3243 , ox H7794 and sheep H7716 , camel H1581 and ass H2543 .
4 And Saul H7586 gathered the people together H8085 , and numbered H6485 them in Telaim H2923 , two hundred H3967 MFD thousand H505 W-BMS footmen H7273 , and ten H6235 thousand H505 MMP men H376 NMS of Judah H3063 .
5 And Saul H7586 came H935 W-VQY3MS to H5704 PREP a city H5892 GFS of Amalek H6002 , and laid wait H693 in the valley H5158 .
6 And Saul H7586 said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP the Kenites H7017 , Go H1980 VQI2MP , depart H5493 , get you down H3381 from among H8432 the Amalekites H6002 , lest H6435 CONJ I destroy H622 you with H5973 PREP-3MS them : for ye H859 W-PPRO-2MS showed H6213 kindness H2617 NMS to H5973 PREP all H3605 NMS the children H1121 of Israel H3478 , when they came up H5927 out of Egypt H4714 . So the Kenites H7017 departed H5493 W-VHY3MS from among H8432 the Amalekites H6003 .
7 And Saul H7586 smote H5221 W-VHY3MS the Amalekites H6002 from Havilah H2341 until thou comest H935 to Shur H7793 , that H834 RPRO is over H5921 PREP against H6440 CMP Egypt H4714 .
8 And he took H8610 Agag H90 the king H4428 NMS of the Amalekites H6002 alive H2416 AMS , and utterly destroyed H2763 all H3605 NMS the people H5971 with the edge H6310 L-CMS of the sword H2719 GFS .
9 But Saul H7586 and the people H5971 spared H2550 Agag H90 , and the best H4315 of the sheep H6629 , and of the oxen H1241 , and of the fatlings H4932 , and the lambs H3733 , and all H3605 NMS that was good H2896 D-NMS , and would H14 VQQ3MP not H3808 W-NPAR utterly destroy H2763 them : but every H3605 NMS thing H4399 that was vile H5240 and refuse H4549 , that they destroyed utterly H2763 .
10 Then came H1961 W-VPY3MS the word H1697 CMS of the LORD H3068 EDS unto H413 PREP Samuel H8050 , saying H559 L-VQFC ,
11 It repenteth me H5162 VNQ1MS that H3588 CONJ I have set up H4427 Saul H7586 to be king H4428 L-CMS : for H3588 CONJ he is turned back H7725 VQQ3MS from following H310 me , and hath not H3808 NADV performed H6965 my commandments H1697 CMP-1MS . And it grieved H2734 W-VQY3MS Samuel H8050 ; and he cried H2199 unto H413 PREP the LORD H3068 EDS all H3605 NMS night H3915 .
12 And when Samuel H8050 rose early H7925 to meet H7125 Saul H7586 in the morning H1242 B-NMS , it was told H5046 Samuel H8050 , saying H559 L-VQFC , Saul H7586 came H935 to Carmel H3760 , and , behold H2009 IJEC , he set him up H5324 a place H3027 NFS , and is gone about H5437 , and passed on H5674 , and gone down H3381 W-VQY3MS to Gilgal H1537 .
13 And Samuel H8050 came H935 W-VQY3MS to H413 PREP Saul H7586 : and Saul H7586 said H559 W-VQY3MS unto him , Blessed H1288 VWQ3MS be thou H859 PPRO-2MS of the LORD H3068 L-EDS : I have performed H6965 the commandment H1697 CMS of the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
14 And Samuel H8050 said H559 W-VQY3MS , What H4100 W-IGAT meaneth then this H2088 D-PMS bleating H6963 of the sheep H6629 in mine ears H241 , and the lowing H6963 W-CMS of the oxen H1241 D-NMS which H834 RPRO I H595 PPRO-1MS hear H8085 ?
15 And Saul H7586 said H559 W-VQY3MS , They have brought H935 them from the Amalekites H6003 : for H834 RPRO the people H5971 spared H2550 the best H4315 of the sheep H6629 and of the oxen H1241 , to sacrifice H2076 unto the LORD H3068 L-EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS ; and the rest H3498 we have utterly destroyed H2763 .
16 Then Samuel H8050 said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP Saul H7586 , Stay H7503 , and I will tell H5046 thee what H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS hath said H1696 VPQ3MS to H413 PREP me this night H3915 AMS . And he said H559 W-VQY3MS unto him , Say on H1696 .
17 And Samuel H8050 said H559 W-VQY3MS , When H518 PART thou H859 PPRO-2MS wast little H6996 AMS in thine own sight H5869 , wast thou H859 PPRO-2FS not H3808 D-NPAR made the head H7218 NMS of the tribes H7626 of Israel H3478 , and the LORD H3068 EDS anointed H4886 thee king H4428 L-CMS over H5921 PREP Israel H3478 LMS ?
18 And the LORD H3068 EDS sent H7971 thee on a journey H1870 , and said H559 W-VQY3MS , Go H1980 VQI2MS and utterly destroy H2763 the sinners H2400 the Amalekites H6002 , and fight H3898 against them until H5704 PREP they be consumed H3615 .
19 Wherefore H4100 WL-IGAT then didst thou not H3808 NADV obey H8085 VQQ2MS the voice H6963 B-NMS of the LORD H3068 EDS , but didst fly H5860 upon H413 PREP the spoil H7998 , and didst H6213 evil H7451 in the sight H5869 B-CMP of the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS ?
20 And Saul H7586 said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP Samuel H8050 , Yea H834 RPRO , I have obeyed H8085 VQQ1MS the voice H6963 B-NMS of the LORD H3068 EDS , and have gone H1980 the way H1870 which H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS sent H7971 me , and have brought H935 Agag H90 the king H4428 NMS of Amalek H6002 , and have utterly destroyed H2763 the Amalekites H6002 .
21 But the people H5971 took H3947 W-VQY3MS of the spoil H7998 , sheep H6629 NMS and oxen H1241 W-NMS , the chief H7225 CFS of the things which should have been utterly destroyed H2764 , to sacrifice H2076 unto the LORD H3068 L-EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS in Gilgal H1537 .
22 And Samuel H8050 said H559 W-VQY3MS , Hath the LORD H3068 L-EDS as great delight H2656 D-NMS in burnt offerings H5930 and sacrifices H2077 , as in obeying H8085 the voice H6963 B-NMS of the LORD H3068 EDS ? Behold H2009 IJEC , to obey H8085 is better H2896 AMS than sacrifice H2077 , and to hearken H7181 L-VHFC than the fat H2459 of rams H352 .
23 For H3588 CONJ rebellion H4805 is as the sin H2403 of witchcraft H7081 , and stubbornness H6484 is as iniquity H205 and idolatry H8655 . Because H3282 ADV thou hast rejected H3988 VQQ2MS the word H1697 CMS of the LORD H3068 EDS , he hath also rejected H3988 thee from being king H4428 .
24 And Saul H7586 said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP Samuel H8050 , I have sinned H2398 VQQ1MS : for H3588 CONJ I have transgressed H5674 the commandment H6310 of the LORD H3068 EDS , and thy words H1697 : because H3588 CONJ I feared H3372 the people H5971 , and obeyed H8085 their voice H6963 .
25 Now H6258 W-ADV therefore , I pray thee H4994 IJEC , pardon H5375 VQI2MS my sin H2403 , and turn again H7725 with H5973 me , that I may worship H7812 the LORD H3068 L-NAME-4MS .
26 And Samuel H8050 said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP Saul H7586 , I will not H3808 NADV return H7725 VQY1MS with H5973 PREP-2FS thee : for H3588 CONJ thou hast rejected H3988 the word H1697 CMS of the LORD H3068 EDS , and the LORD H3068 EDS hath rejected H3988 thee from being king H4428 NMS over H5921 PREP Israel H3478 LMS .
27 And as Samuel H8050 turned about H5437 to go away H1980 L-VQFC , he laid hold H2388 upon the skirt H3671 of his mantle H4598 , and it rent H7167 .
28 And Samuel H8050 said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP-3MS him , The LORD H3068 EDS hath rent H7167 the kingdom H4468 of Israel H3478 from thee this day H3117 D-AMS , and hath given H5414 it to a neighbor H7453 of thine , that is better H2896 D-NMS than H4480 M-PPRO-2MS thou .
29 And also H1571 W-CONJ the Strength H5331 of Israel H3478 will not H3808 NADV lie H8266 nor H3808 W-NADV repent H5162 : for H3588 CONJ he is not H3808 NADV a man H120 NMS , that he H1931 PPRO-3MS should repent H5162 .
30 Then he said H559 W-VQY3MS , I have sinned H2398 VQQ1MS : yet honor H3513 me now H6258 ADV , I pray thee H4994 IJEC , before H5048 the elders H2205 of my people H5971 , and before H5048 Israel H3478 , and turn again H7725 with H5973 me , that I may worship H7812 the LORD H3068 L-EDS thy God H430 .
31 So Samuel H8050 turned again H7725 after H310 PREP Saul H7586 ; and Saul H7586 worshiped H7812 the LORD H3068 L-NAME-4MS .
32 Then said H559 W-VQY3MS Samuel H8050 , Bring ye hither H5066 to H413 PREP-1MS me Agag H90 the king H4428 NMS of the Amalekites H6002 . And Agag H90 came H1980 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP-3MS him delicately H4574 . And Agag H90 said H559 W-VQY3MS , Surely H403 ADV the bitterness H4751 AMS of death H4194 is past H5493 .
33 And Samuel H8050 said H559 W-VQY3MS , As H834 K-RPRO thy sword H2719 hath made women H802 GFP childless H7921 , so H3651 ADV shall thy mother H517 be childless H7921 among women H802 . And Samuel H8050 hewed Agag in pieces H8158 before H6440 L-CMP the LORD H3068 EDS in Gilgal H1537 .
34 Then Samuel H8050 went H1980 W-VQY3MS to Ramah H7414 ; and Saul H7586 went up H5927 to H413 PREP his house H1004 NMS-3MS to Gibeah H1390 of Saul H7586 .
35 And Samuel H8050 came no H3808 W-NPAR more H3254 to see H7200 L-VQFC Saul H7586 until H5704 PREP the day H3117 NMS of his death H4194 : nevertheless H3588 CONJ Samuel H8050 mourned H56 for H413 PREP Saul H7586 : and the LORD H3068 W-EDS repented H5162 that H3588 CONJ he had made Saul king H4427 over H5921 PREP Israel H3478 LMS .
