পৌল
যীশুর
অনুগামীদের
ডেকে
পাঠালেন,
আর
তাদের
সকলকে
উত্সাহ
দান
করে
ও
শুভেচ্ছা
জানিয়ে
মাকিদনিয়ার
অঞ্চলগুলিতে
যাবার
জন্য
রওনা
দিলেন৷

বিভিন্ন

খ্রীষ্টানুসারীদের
অনেক
কথা
বলে
উত্সাহ
দিলেন,
শেষে
গ্রীসে
এসে
পৌঁছলেন৷
3
সেখানে
তিনি
তিন
মাস
থাকলেন৷
তিনি
যখন
সমুদ্রপথে
সুরিয়া
যাবার
জন্য
প্রস্তুত
হচ্ছিলেন
তখন
ইহুদীরা
তাঁর
বিরুদ্ধে

আর
এশিয়ার

এরা
পৌলের
আগেই
রওনা

ত্রোয়াতে
গিয়ে
আমাদের

অপেক্ষা

6
খামিরবিহীন

থেকে
সমুদ্রপথে
রওনা
হয়ে
পাঁচ
দিন
পর
ত্রোয়াতে
তাদের
সঙ্গে
য়োগ

সেখানে
আমরা
সাত
দিন
থাকলাম৷
7
রবিবার
আমরা
যখন

পরের

তাদের
সাথে
কথা
বলতে
থাকলেন৷
8
আমরা
ওপরের
য়ে
ঘরে
সমবেত
হয়েছিলাম
সেখানে
অনেক
প্রদীপ
ছিল৷
9
উতুখ
নামে
এক
যুবক
সেই
ঘরের
জানালায়
বসেছিল৷
পৌলের
দীর্ঘ
বক্তৃতার
সময়
সে
গভীরভাবে
ঘুমিয়ে
গেল৷
তারপর
ঘুমের
ঘোরে
সে
তিনতলা
থেকে
নীচে
পড়ে
গেল৷
লোকেরা
গিয়ে
যখন
তাকে
তুলল,
দেখা
গেল
সে
মারা
গেছে৷
10
পৌল
নিজেই
নীচে
নেমে
গেলেন৷
তিনি
তার
দেহের
ওপরে
নিজেকে
রেখে
তাকে
বুকে
জড়িয়ে
ধরে
বললেন,
‘তোমরা
বিচলিত
হযো
না,
কারণ
দেখ
এর
মধ্যে
এখনও
প্রাণ
আছে৷’
11
এরপর
পৌল
ওপরের
ঘরে
গিয়ে
রুটি
ভাঙ্গলেন
ও
কিছু
খাওয়া-দাওয়া
করে
ভোর
পর্যন্ত
তাদের
সঙ্গে
কথাবার্তা
বললেন,
তারপর
তিনি
তাদের
কাছ
থেকে
রওনা
হলেন৷
12
বিশ্বাসীরা
সেই
যুবককে
জীবিত
অবস্থায়
তার
বাড়ি
নিয়ে
য়েতে
পেরে
খুবই
আশ্বস্ত
হল৷
13
আমরা
সমুদ্রপথে
আঃসে
রওনা
দিয়ে
পৌলের
আগেই
সেখানে
পৌঁছালাম৷
ঠিক
ছিল
য়ে
পৌল
আঃসে
হাঁটা
পথে
যাবেন
আর
সেখানে
আমরা
তাঁকে
জাহাজে
তুলে
দেব৷
14
পরে
আঃসে
পৌলের
সঙ্গে
আমাদের
দেখা
হল,
আর
তিনি
জাহাজে
আমাদের
কাছে
এলেন৷
আমরা
সকলে
মিতুলীনী
শহরে
গেলাম৷
15
সেখান
থেকে
পরের
দিন
জাহাজে
করে
খীয়ের
দ্বীপের
কাছে
পৌঁছালাম৷
দ্বিতীয়
দিনে
আমরা
সামঃ
দ্বীপ
পার
হয়ে
তার
পরদিন
মিলীতে
গেলাম,
16
কারণ
পৌল
আগেই
ঠিক
করেছিলেন
য়ে
তিনি
ইফিষে
নামবেন
না৷
তিনি
এশিয়াতে
বেশী
সময়
থাকতে
চাইলেন
না,
কারণ
পঞ্চাশত্তমীর
আগেই
জেরুশালেমে
পৌঁছবার
জন্য
তিনি
ব্যগ্র
হয়ে
উঠেছিলেন৷
17
মিলীতে
এসে
তিনি
ইফিষের
মণ্ডলীর
প্রাচীনদের
তাঁর
সঙ্গে
দেখা
করার
জন্য
ডেকে
পাঠালেন৷
18
তাঁরা
এলে
পর
তিনি
তাঁদের
বললেন,
‘তোমরা
জান
আমি
এশিয়াতে
থাকাকালীন
প্রথম
দিন
থেকেই
তোমাদের
সঙ্গে
কিভাবে
সমস্ত
সময়
কাটিয়েছি৷
19
ইহুদীরা
আমার
বিরুদ্ধে
চক্রান্ত
করেছিল,
আমাকে
বড়
সঙ্কটের
মধ্য
দিয়ে
য়েতে
হয়েছিল,
কিন্তু
তোমরা
জান
য়ে
এসত্ত্বেও
আমি
নম্রভাবে
চোখের
জলে
সর্বদাই
প্রভুর
সেবা
করে
গেছি৷
20
তোমাদের
জন্য
যা
মঙ্গলজনক,
ইতস্তত
না
করে
সর্বদা
তোমাদের
কাছে
বলেছি৷
এমন
কি
বাড়ি
বাড়ি
গিয়ে
শিক্ষা
দিয়েছি
ও
সুসমাচার
প্রচার
করেছি৷
21
ইহুদী
কি
অইহুদী
গ্রীক
সকলের
কাছেই
বলেছি
য়েন
তারা
মন-ফেরায়,
ঈশ্বরের
দিকে
ফেরে
ও
প্রভু
যীশুকে
বিশ্বাস
করে৷
22
কিন্তু
এখন
আমাকে
পবিত্র
আত্মার
নির্দেশ
মানতে
হবে,
তাই
আমি
জেরুশালেমে
যাচ্ছি৷
সেখানে
আমার
কি
হবে
তা
আমি
জানি
না৷
23
তবে
পবিত্র
আত্মার
সতর্কবাণীর
মধ্য
দিয়ে
একথা
জানি
য়ে
জেরুশালেমের
প্রত্যেকটি
শহরে
আমার
জন্য
দুঃখ-কষ্ট
ও
কারাবরণ
অপেক্ষা
করছে৷
24
আমি
মনে
করি
আমার
কাছে
আমার
জীবনের
কোন
মূল্য
নেই৷
আমি
মনে
করি
আমার
জীবনের
সবচেয়ে
গুরুত্বপূর্ণ
বিষয়
হল
প্রভু
যীশুর
কাছ
থেকে
য়ে
কাজের
ভার
পেয়েছি
তাতে
লক্ষ্য
স্থির
রেখে
য়েন
শেষ
পর্যন্ত
দৌড়াতে
পারি;
সেই
কাজ
হল
সকলের
কাছে
ঈশ্বরের
অনুগ্রহের
বার্তা
ও
সুসমাচার
নিয়ে
যাওয়া৷
25
‘এখন
আমি
যা
বলছি
মন
দিয়ে
শোন;
তোমাদের
মধ্যে
যাদের
কাছে
ঈশ্বরের
রাজ্যের
সুসমাচার
জানিয়েছি
তাদের
কেউই
আমার
মুখ
আর
দেখতে
পাবে
না৷
26
তাই
আজ
আমি
তোমাদের
কাছে
একথা
জোর
দিয়ে
বলছি
য়ে
এসত্ত্বেও
তোমাদের
মধ্যে
যাঁরা
উদ্ধার
পাবে
না,
ঈশ্বর
তাদের
বিষয়ে
আমাকে
দোষী
করবেন
না৷
27
আমি
এসব
কথা
বলতে
পারি
য়ে
ঈশ্বর
তোমাদের
যা
কিছু
জানাতে
চেয়েছিলেন,
সে
সবই
আমি
তোমাদের
জানিয়েছি৷
28
নিজেদের
ব্যাপারে
সাবধান
থেকো
আর
পবিত্র
আত্মা

For
Paul
had
determined
to
sail
by
Ephesus,
because
he
would
not
spend
the
time
in
Asia:
for
he
hasted,

And
from

he

elders
of

church.
18
And
when
they
were

to
him,
he
said
unto
them,
Ye
know,
from
the
first
day
that
I
came
into
Asia,
after
what
manner
I
have
been
with
you
at
all
seasons,
19
Serving
the
Lord
with
all
humility
of
mind,
and
with
many
tears,
and
temptations,
which
befell
me
by
the
lying
in
wait
of
the
Jews:
20
And
how
I
kept
back
nothing
that
was
profitable
unto
you,
but
have
shewed
you,
and
have
taught
you
publickly,
and
from
house
to
house,
21
Testifying
both
to
the
Jews,
and
also
to
the
Greeks,
repentance
toward
God,
and
faith
toward
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ.
22
And
now,
behold,
I
go
bound
in
the
spirit
unto
Jerusalem,
not
knowing
the
things
that
shall
befall
me
there:
23
Save
that
the
Holy
Ghost
witnesseth
in
every
city,
saying
that
bonds
and
afflictions
abide
me.
24
But
none
of
these
things
move
me,
neither
count
I
my
life
dear
unto
myself,
so
that
I
might
finish
my
course
with
joy,
and
the
ministry,
which
I
have
received
of
the
Lord
Jesus,
to
testify
the
gospel
of
the
grace
of
God.
25
And
now,
behold,
I
know
that
ye
all,
among
whom
I
have
gone
preaching
the
kingdom
of
God,
shall
see
my
face
no
more.
26
Wherefore
I
take
you
to
record
this
day,
that
I
am
pure
from
the
blood
of
all
men.
27
For
I
have
not
shunned
to
declare
unto
you
all
the
counsel
of
God.
28
Take
heed
therefore
unto
yourselves,
and
to
all
the
flock,
over
the
which
the
Holy
Ghost
hath
made
you
overseers,
to
feed
the
church
of
God,
which
he
hath
purchased
with
his
own
blood.
29
For
I
know
this,
that
after
my
departing
shall
grievous
wolves
enter
in
among
you,
not
sparing
the
flock.
30
Also
of
your
own
selves
shall
men
arise,
speaking
perverse
things,
to
draw
away
disciples
after
them.
31
Therefore
watch,
and
remember,
that
by
the
space
of
three
years
I
ceased
not
to
warn
every
one
night
and
day
with
tears.
32
And
now,
brethren,
I
commend
you
to
God,
and
to
the
word
of
his
grace,
which
is
able
to
build
you
up,
and
to
give
you
an
inheritance
among
all
them
which
are
sanctified.
33
I
have
coveted
no
man's
silver,
or
gold,
or
apparel.
34
Yea,
ye
yourselves
know,
that
these
hands
have
ministered
unto
my
necessities,
and
to
them
that
were
with
me.
35
I
have
shewed
you
all
things,
how
that
so
labouring
ye
ought
to
support
the
weak,
and
to
remember
the
words
of
the
Lord
Jesus,
how
he
said,
It
is
more
blessed
to
give
than
to
receive.
36
And
when
he
had
thus
spoken,
he
kneeled
down,
and
prayed
with
them
all.
37
And
they
all
wept
sore,
and
fell
on
Paul's
neck,
and
kissed
him,
38
Sorrowing
most
of
all
for
the
words
which
he
spake,
that
they
should
see
his
face
no
more.
And
they
accompanied
him
unto
the
ship.
1 Corinthians 15:3
3
For
I
delivered
unto
you
first
of
all
that
which
I
also
received,
how
that
Christ
died
for
our
sins
according
to
the
scriptures;

when
he

into
the

he

but
a
body
hast
thou
prepared
me:

G1161
when
G5613

Ye

the

G2250
that
G575
G3739
I
came
G1910
into
G1519
Asia,
G773
after
what
manner
G4459
I
have
been
G1096
with
G3326
you
G5216
at
all
G3956
seasons,
G5550

Serving
G1398
the
G3588

G2962
with
G3326
all
G3956
humility

G5012
and
G2532
with
many
G4183

G1144
and
G2532
temptations,
G3986
which
befell
G4819
me
G3427
by
G1722
the
G3588
lying
in
wait
G1917
of
the
G3588
Jews:
G2453

And
how
G5613
I
kept
back
G5288
nothing
G3762
that
was
profitable
G4851
unto
you,
G3361
but
have
showed
G312
you,
G5213
and
G2532
have
taught
G1321
you
G5209
publicly,
G1219
and
G2532
from

G2596
G3624
,
21
Testifying
G1263
both
G5037
to
the

G2453
and
G2532

to
the

our

G2962
Jesus
G2424

G5547
22
And
G2532
now,
G3568
behold,
G2400
I
G1473
go
G4198
bound
G1210
in
the
G3588
spirit
G4151
unto
G1519
Jerusalem,
G2419
not
G3361
knowing
G1492
the
things
that
shall
befall
G4876
me
G3427
there
G1722
G846
:
23
Save
G4133
that
G3754
the
G3588
Holy
G40
Ghost
G4151
witnesseth
G1263
in
every
city
G2596
G4172
,
saying
G3004
that
G3754
bonds
G1199
and
G2532
afflictions
G2347
abide
G3306
me.
G3165
24
But
G235
none
of
these
things
move
me
G4160
G3056,
G3762
neither
G3761
count
G2192
I
my
G3450
life
G5590
dear
G5093
unto
myself,
G1683
so
that
G5613
I
might
finish
G5048
my
G3450
course
G1408
with
G3326
joy,
G5479
and
G2532
the
G3588
ministry,
G1248
which
G3739
I
have
received
G2983
of
G3844
the
G3588
Lord
G2962
Jesus,
G2424
to
testify
G1263
the
G3588
gospel
G2098
of
the
G3588
grace
G5485
of
God.
G2316
25
And
G2532
now,
G3568
behold,
G2400
I
G1473
know
G1492
that
G3754
ye
G5210
all,
G3956
among
G1722
whom
G3739
I
have
gone
G1330
preaching
G2784
the
G3588
kingdom
G932
of
God,
G2316
shall
see
G3700
my
G3450
face
G4383
no
more.
G3765
26
Wherefore
G1352
I
take
you
to
record
G3143
G5213
this
G4594
day,
G2250
that
G3754
I
G1473
am
pure
G2513
from
G575
the
G3588
blood
G129
of
all
G3956
men.
27
For
G1063
I
have
not
G3756
shunned
G5288
to
G3361
declare
G312
unto
you
G5213
all
G3956
the
G3588
counsel
G1012
of
God.
G2316
28
Take
heed
G4337
therefore
G3767
unto
yourselves,
G1438
and
G2532
to
all
G3956
the
G3588
flock,
G4168
over
G1722
the
which
G3739
the
G3588
Holy
G40
Ghost
G4151
hath
made
G5087
you
G5209
overseers,
G1985
to
feed
G4165
the
G3588
church
G1577
of
God,
G2316
which
G3739
he
hath
purchased
G4046
with
G1223
his
own
G2398
blood.
G129
29
For
G1063
I
G1473
know
G1492
this,
G5124
that
G3754
after
G3326
my
G3450
departing
G867
shall
grievous
G926
wolves
G3074
enter
in
G1525
among
G1519
you,
G5209
not
G3361
sparing
G5339
the
G3588
flock.
G4168
30
Also
G2532
of
G1537
your
own
selves
G5216
G846
shall
men
G435
arise,
G450
speaking
G2980
perverse
things,
G1294
to
draw
away
G645
disciples
G3101
after
G3694
them.
G846
31
Therefore
G1352
watch,
G1127
and
remember,
G3421
that
G3754
by
the
space
of
three
years
G5148
I
ceased
G3973
not
G3756
to
warn
G3560
every
G1538
one
G1520
night
G3571
and
G2532
day
G2250
with
G3326
tears.
G1144
32
And
G2532
now,
G3569
brethren,
G80
I
commend
G3908
you
G5209
to
God,
G2316
and
G2532
to
the
G3588
word
G3056
of
his
G846
grace,
G5485
which
is
able
G1410
to
build
you
up,
G2026
and
G2532
to
give
G1325
you
G5213
an
inheritance
G2817
among
G1722
all
G3956
them
which
are
sanctified.
G37
33
I
have
coveted
G1937
no
man's
G3762
silver,
G694
or
G2228
gold,
G5553
or
G2228
apparel.
G2441
34
Yea
G1161
,
ye
G846
yourselves
know,
G1097
that
G3754
these
G3778
hands
G5495
have
ministered
G5256
unto
my
G3450
necessities,
G5532
and
G2532
to
them
that
were
G5607
with
G3326
me.
G1700
35
I
have
showed
G5263
you
G5213
all
things,
G3956
how
that
G3754
so
G3779
laboring
G2872
ye
ought
G1163
to
support
G482
the
G3588
weak,
G770
and
G5037
to
remember
G3421
the
G3588

G3056
of
the
G3588

G2962
Jesus,
G2424

said,

It
is
G2076
more
G3123
blessed
G3107
to
give
G1325
than
G2228
to
receive.
G2983
36
And
G2532
when
he
had
thus
G5023
spoken,
G2036
he
kneeled
down
G5087
G846,
G1119
and
prayed
G4336
with
G4862
them
G846
all.
G3956
37
And
G1161
they
all
wept
sore
G1096
G2425
G2805,
G3956
and
G2532
fell
G1968
on
G1909
Paul's
G3972
neck,
G5137
and
kissed
G2705
him,
G846
38
Sorrowing
G3600
most
of
all
G3122
for
G1909
the
G3588
words
G3056
which
G3739
he
spake,
G2046
that
G3754
they
should
G3195
see
G2334
his
G848
face
G4383
no
more.
G3765
And
G1161
they
accompanied
G4311
him
G846
unto
G1519
the
G3588
ship.

And
after
the
ceasing
of
the
tumult,
Paul
having
called
near
the
disciples,
and
having
embraced
them
,
went
forth
to
go
on
to
Macedonia;
2
and
having
gone
through
those
parts,
and
having
exhorted
them
with
many
words,
he
came
to
Greece;
3
having
made
also
three
months`
stay
--
a
counsel
of
the
Jews
having
been
against
him
--
being
about
to
set
forth
to
Syria,
there
came
to
him
a
resolution
of
returning
through
Macedonia.
4
And
there
were
accompanying
him
unto
Asia,
Sopater
of
Berea,
and
of
Thessalonians
Aristarchus
and
Secundus,
and
Gaius
of
Derbe,
and
Timotheus,
and
of
Asiatics
Tychicus
and
Trophimus;
5
these,
having
gone
before,
did
remain
for
us
in
Troas,
6
and
we
sailed,
after
the
days
of
the
unleavened
food,
from
Philippi,
and
came
unto
them
to
Troas
in
five
days,
where
we
abode
seven
days.
7
And
on
the
first
of
the
week,
the
disciples
having
been
gathered
together
to
break
bread,
Paul
was
discoursing
to
them,
about
to
depart
on
the
morrow,
he
was
also
continuing
the
discourse
till
midnight,
8
and
there
were
many
lamps
in
the
upper
chamber
where
they
were
gathered
together,
9
and
there
was
sitting
a
certain
youth,
by
name
Eutychus,
upon
the
window
--
being
borne
down
by
a
deep
sleep,
Paul
discoursing
long
--
he
having
sunk
down
from
the
sleep,
fell
down
from
the
third
story,
and
was
lifted
up
dead.
10
And
Paul,
having
gone
down,
fell
upon
him,
and
having
embraced
him
,
said,
`Make
no
tumult,
for
his
life
is
in
him;`
11
and
having
come
up,
and
having
broken
bread,
and
having
tasted,
for
a
long
time
also
having
talked
--
till
daylight,
so
he
went
forth,
12
and
they
brought
up
the
lad
alive,
and
were
comforted
in
no
ordinary
measure.
13
And
we
having
gone
before
unto
the
ship,
did
sail
to
Assos,
thence
intending
to
take
in
Paul,
for
so
he
had
arranged,
intending
himself
to
go
on
foot;
14
and
when
he
met
with
us
at
Assos,
having
taken
him
up,
we
came
to
Mitylene,
15
and
thence
having
sailed,
on
the
morrow
we
came
over-against
Chios,
and
the
next
day
we
arrived
at
Samos,
and
having
remained
in
Trogyllium,
on
the
following
day
we
came
to
Miletus,
16
for
Paul
decided
to
sail
past
Ephesus,
that
there
may
not
be
to
him
a
loss
of
time
in
Asia,
for
he
hasted,
if
it
were
possible
for
him,
on
the
day
of
the
Pentecost
to
be
at
Jerusalem.
17
And
from
Miletus,
having
sent
to
Ephesus,
he
called
for
the
elders
of
the
assembly,
18
and
when
they
were
come
unto
him,
he
said
to
them,
`Ye
--
ye
know
from
the
first
day
in
which
I
came
to
Asia,
how,
with
you
at
all
times
I
was;
19
serving
the
Lord
with
all
humility,
and
many
tears,
and
temptations,
that
befell
me
in
the
counsels
of
the
Jews
against
me
;
20
how
nothing
I
did
keep
back
of
what
things
are
profitable,
not
to
declare
to
you,
and
to
teach
you
publicly,
and
in
every
house,
21
testifying
fully
both
to
Jews
and
Greeks,
toward
God
reformation,
and
faith
toward
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ.
22
`And
now,
lo,
I
--
bound
in
the
Spirit
--
go
on
to
Jerusalem,
the
things
that
shall
befall
me
in
it
not
knowing,
23
save
that
the
Holy
Spirit
in
every
city
doth
testify
fully,
saying,
that
for
me
bonds
and
tribulations
remain;
24
but
I
make
account
of
none
of
these,
neither
do
I
count
my
life
precious
to
myself,
so
that
I
finish
my
course
with
joy,
and
the
ministration
that
I
received
from
the
Lord
Jesus,
to
testify
fully
the
good
news
of
the
grace
of
God.
25
`And
now,
lo,
I
have
known
that
no
more
shall
ye
see
my
face,
--
ye
all
among
whom
I
did
go
preaching
the
reign
of
God;
26
wherefore
I
take
you
to
witness
this
day,
that
I
am
clear
from
the
blood
of
all,
27
for
I
did
not
keep
back
from
declaring
to
you
all
the
counsel
of
God.
28
`Take
heed,
therefore,
to
yourselves,
and
to
all
the
flock,
among
which
the
Holy
Spirit
made
you
overseers,
to
feed
the
assembly
of
God
that
He
acquired
through
His
own
blood,
29
for
I
have
known
this,
that
there
shall
enter
in,
after
my
departing,
grievous
wolves
unto
you,
not
sparing
the
flock,
30
and
of
your
own
selves
there
shall
arise
men,
speaking
perverse
things,
to
draw
away
the
disciples
after
them.
31
`Therefore,
watch,
remembering
that
three
years,
night
and
day,
I
did
not
cease
with
tears
warning
each
one;
32
and
now,
I
commend
you,
brethren,
to
God,
and
to
the
word
of
His
grace,
that
is
able
to
build

and
to
give
you
an

among
all
those
sanctified.

`The

no
one
did
I
covet;
34
and
ye
yourselves
know
that
to
my
necessities,
and
to
those
who
were
with
me,
minister
did
these
hands;
35
all
things
I
did
shew
you,
that,
thus
labouring,
it
behoveth
us
to
partake
with
the
ailing,
to
be
mindful
also
of
the
words
of
the
Lord
Jesus,
that
he
himself
said,
It
is
more
blessed
to
give
than
to
receive.`
36
And
these
things
having
said,
having
bowed
his
knees,
with
them
all,
he
did
pray,
37
and
there
came
a
great
weeping
to
all,
and
having
fallen
upon
the
neck
of
Paul,
they
were
kissing
him,
38
sorrowing
most
of
all
for
the
word
that
he
had
said
--
that
they
are
about
no

to

they
were
accompanying
him
to
the

And
after
the
uproar
ceased,
Paul
having
sent
for
the
disciples
and
exhorted
them,
took
leave
of
them,
and
departed
to
go
into
Macedonia.
2
And
when
he
had
gone
through
those
parts,
and
had
given
them
much
exhortation,
he
came
into
Greece.
3
And
when
he
had
spent
three
months
there,
and
a
plot
was
laid
against
him
by
Jews
as
he
was
about
to
set
sail
for
Syria,
he
determined
to
return
through
Macedonia.
4
And
there
accompanied
him
as
far
as
Asia,
Sopater
of
Beroea,
the
son
of
Pyrrhus;
and
of
the
Thessalonians,
Aristarchus
and
Secundus;
and
Gaius
of
Derbe,
and
Timothy;
and
of
Asia,
Tychicus
and
Trophimus.
5
But
these
had
gone
before,
and
were
waiting
for
us
at
Troas.
6
And
we
sailed
away
from
Philippi
after
the
days
of
unleavened
bread,
and
came
unto
them
to
Troas
in
five
days,
where
we
tarried
seven
days.
7
And
upon
the
first
day
of
the
week,
when
we
were
gathered
together
to
break
bread,
Paul
discoursed
with
them,
intending
to
depart
on
the
morrow;
and
prolonged
his
speech
until
midnight.
8
And
there
were
many
lights
in
the

chamber
where
we
were
gathered
together.
9
And
there
sat
in
the
window
a
certain
young
man
named
Eutychus,
borne
down
with
deep
sleep;
and
as
Paul
discoursed
yet
longer,
being
borne
down
by
his
sleep
he
fell
down
from
the
third
story,
and
was
taken
up
dead.
10
And
Paul
went
down,
and
fell
on
him,
and
embracing
him
said,
Make
ye
no
ado;
for
his
life
is
in
him.
11
And
when
he
was
gone
up,
and
had
broken
the
bread,
and
eaten,
and
had
talked
with
them
a
long
while,
even
till
break
of
day,
so
he
departed.
12
And
they
brought
the
lad
alive,
and
were
not
a
little
comforted.
13
But
we
going
before
to
the
ship
set
sail
for
Assos,
there
intending
to
take
in
Paul:
for
so
had
he
appointed,
intending
himself
to
go
by
land.
14
And
when
he
met
us
at
Assos,
we
took
him
in,
and
came
to
Mitylene.
15
And
sailing
from
thence,
we
came
the
following
day
over
against
Chios;
and
the
next
day
we
touched
at
Samos;
and
the
day
after
we
came
to
Miletus.
16
For
Paul
had
determined
to
sail
past
Ephesus,
that
he
might
not
have
to
spend
time
in
Asia;
for
he
was
hastening,
if
it
were
possible
for
him,
to
be
at
Jerusalem
the
day
of
Pentecost.
17
And
from
Miletus
he
sent
to
Ephesus,
and
called
to
him
the
elders
of
the
church.
18
And
when
they
were
come
to
him,
he
said
unto
them,
Ye
yourselves
know,
from
the
first
day
that
I
set
foot
in
Asia,
after
what
manner
I
was
with
you
all
the
time,
19
serving
the
Lord
with
all
lowliness
of
mind,
and
with
tears,
and
with
trials
which
befell
me
by
the
plots
of
the
Jews;
20
how
I
shrank
not
from
declaring
unto
you
anything
that
was
profitable,
and
teaching
you
publicly,
and
from
house
to
house,
21
testifying
both
to
Jews
and
to
Greeks
repentance
toward
God,
and
faith
toward
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ.
22
And
now,
behold,
I
go
bound
in
the
spirit
unto
Jerusalem,
not
knowing
the
things
that
shall
befall
me
there:
23
save
that
the
Holy
Spirit
testifieth
unto
me
in
every
city,
saying
that
bonds
and
afflictions
abide
me.
24
But
I
hold
not
my
life
of
any
account
as
dear
unto
myself,
so
that
I
may
accomplish
my
course,
and
the
ministry
which
I
received
from
the
Lord
Jesus,
to
testify
the
gospel
of
the
grace
of
God.
25
And
now,
behold,
I
know
that
ye
all,
among
whom
I
went
about
preaching
the
kingdom,
shall
see
my
face
no
more.
26
Wherefore
I
testify
unto
you
this
day,
that
I
am
pure
from
the
blood
of
all
men.
27
For
I
shrank
not
from
declaring
unto
you
the
whole
counsel
of
God.
28
Take
heed
unto
yourselves,
and
to
all
the
flock,
in
which
the
Holy
Spirit
hath
made
you
bishops,
to
feed
the
church
of
the
Lord
which
he
purchased
with
his
own
blood.
29
I
know
that
after
my
departing
grievous
wolves
shall
enter
in
among
you,
not
sparing
the
flock;
30
and
from
among
your
own
selves
shall
men
arise,
speaking
perverse
things,
to
draw
away
the
disciples
after
them.
31
Wherefore
watch
ye,
remembering
that
by
the
space
of
three
years
I
ceased
not
to
admonish
every
one
night
and
day
with
tears.
32
And
now
I
commend
you
to
God,
and
to
the
word
of
his
grace,
which
is
able
to
build
you
up,
and
to
give
you
the
inheritance
among
all
them
that
are
sanctified.
33
I
coveted
no
mans
silver,
or
gold,
or
apparel.
34
Ye
yourselves
know
that
these
hands
ministered
unto
my
necessities,
and
to
them
that
were
with
me.
35
In
all
things
I
gave
you
an
example,
that
so
laboring
ye
ought
to
help
the
weak,
and
to
remember
the
words
of
the
Lord
Jesus,
that
he
himself
said,
It
is
more
blessed
to
give
than
to
receive.
36
And
when
he
had
thus
spoken,
he
kneeled
down
and
prayed
with
them
all.
37
And
they
all
wept
sore,
and
fell
on
Pauls
neck
and
kissed
him,
38
sorrowing
most
of
all
for
the
word
which
he
had
spoken,
that
they
should
behold
his
face
no
more.
And
they
brought
him
on
his
way
unto
the
ship.

him,
to
be
at
Jerusalem
the
day
of
Pentecost.
17
And
from
Miletus
he
sent
to
Ephesus,
and
called
to
him
the
elders
of
the
church.
18
And
when
they
were
come
to
him,
he
said
unto
them,
Ye
yourselves
know,
from
the
first
day
that
I
set
foot
in
Asia,
after
what
manner
I
was
with
you
all
the
time,
19
serving
the
Lord
with
all
lowliness
of
mind,
and
with
tears,
and
with
trials
which
befell
me
by
the
plots
of
the
Jews:
20
how
that
I
shrank
not
from
declaring
unto
you
anything
that
was
profitable,
and
teaching
you
publicly,
and
from
house
to
house,
21
testifying
both
to
Jews
and
to
Greeks
repentance
toward
God,
and
faith
toward
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ.
22
And
now,
behold,
I
go
bound
in
the
spirit
unto
Jerusalem,
not
knowing
the
things
that
shall
befall
me
there:
23
save
that
the
Holy
Ghost
testifieth
unto
me
in
every
city,
saying
that
bonds
and
afflictions
abide
me.
24
But
I
hold
not
my
life
of
any
account,
as
dear
unto
myself,
so
that
I
may
accomplish
my
course,
and
the
ministry
which
I
received
from
the
Lord
Jesus,
to
testify
the
gospel
of
the
grace
of
God.
25
And
now,
behold,
I
know
that
ye
all,
among
whom
I
went
about
preaching
the
kingdom,
shall
see
my
face
no
more.
26
Wherefore
I
testify
unto
you
this
day,
that
I
am
pure
from
the
blood
of
all
men.
27
For
I
shrank
not
from
declaring
unto
you
the
whole
counsel
of
God.
28
Take
heed
unto
yourselves,
and
to
all
the
flock,
in
the
which
the
Holy
Ghost
hath
made
you
bishops,
to
feed
the
church
of
God,
which
he
purchased
with
his
own
blood.
29
I
know
that
after
my
departing
grievous
wolves
shall
enter
in
among
you,
not
sparing
the
flock;
30
and
from
among
your
own
selves
shall
men
arise,
speaking
perverse
things,
to
draw
away
the
disciples
after
them.
31
Wherefore
watch
ye,
remembering
that
by
the
space
of
three
years
I
ceased
not
to
admonish
every
one
night
and
day
with
tears.
32
And
now
I
commend
you
to
God,
and
to
the
word
of
his
grace,
which
is
able
to
build
{cf15i
you}
up,
and
to
give
{cf15i
you}
the
inheritance
among
all
them
that
are
sanctified.
33
I
coveted
no
mans
silver,
or
gold,
or
apparel.
34
Ye
yourselves
know
that
these
hands
ministered
unto
my
necessities,
and
to
them
that
were
with
me.
35
In
all
things
I
gave
you
an
example,
how
that
so
labouring
ye
ought
to
help
the
weak,
and
to
remember
the
words
of
the
Lord
Jesus,
how
he
himself
said,
It
is
more
blessed
to
give
than
to
receive.
36
And
when
he
had
thus
spoken,
he
kneeled
down,
and
prayed
with
them
all.
37
And
they
all
wept
sore,
and
fell
on
Pauls
neck,
and
kissed
him,
38
Sorrowing
most
of
all
for
the
word
which
he
had
spoken,
that
they
should
behold
his
face
no
more.
And
they
brought
him
on
his
way
unto
the
ship.
1 Corinthians 15:3
3
For
I
delivered
unto
you
first
of
all
that
which
also
I
received,
how
that
Christ
died
for
our
sins
according
to
the
scriptures;
Hebrews 10:5
5
Wherefore
when
he
cometh
into
the
world,
he
saith,
Sacrifice
and

thou
wouldest
not,

a
body
didst
thou
prepare
for
me;

After
the
disturbance
had
ended,
Paul
sent
for
the
disciples,
and
after
encouraging
them
and
saying
farewell,
he
left
to
go
to
Macedonia.
2
After
he
had
gone
through
those
regions
and
spoken
many
words
of
encouragement
to
the
believers
there,
he
came
to
Greece,
3
where
he
stayed
for
three
months.
Because
the
Jews
had
made
a
plot
against
him
as
he
was
intending
to
sail
for
Syria,
he
decided
to
return
through
Macedonia.
4
Paul
was
accompanied
by
Sopater
son
of
Pyrrhus
from
Berea,
Aristarchus
and
Secundus
from
Thessalonica,
Gaius
from
Derbe,
and
Timothy,
as
well
as
Tychicus
and
Trophimus
from
the
province
of
Asia.
5
These
had
gone
on
ahead
and
were
waiting
for
us
in
Troas.
6
We
sailed
away
from
Philippi
after
the
days
of
Unleavened
Bread,
and
within
five
days
we
came
to
the
others
in
Troas,
where
we
stayed
for
seven
days.
7
On
the
first
day
of
the
week,
when
we
met
to
break
bread,
Paul
began
to
speak
to
the
people,
and
because
he
intended
to
leave
the
next
day,
he
extended
his
message
until
midnight.
8
(Now
there
were
many
lamps
in
the
upstairs
room
where
we
were
meeting.)
9
A
young
man
named
Eutychus,
who
was
sitting
in
the
window,
was
sinking
into
a
deep
sleep
while
Paul
continued
to
speak
for
a
long
time.
Fast
asleep,
he
fell
down
from
the
third
story
and
was
picked
up
dead.
10
But
Paul
went
down,
threw
himself
on
the
young
man,
put
his
arms
around
him,
and
said,
"Do
not
be
distressed,
for
he
is
still
alive!"
11
Then
Paul
went
back
upstairs,
and
after
he
had
broken
bread
and
eaten,
he
talked
with
them
a
long
time,
until
dawn.
Then
he
left.
12
They
took
the
boy
home
alive
and
were
greatly
comforted.
13
We
went
on
ahead
to
the
ship
and
put
out
to
sea
for
Assos,
intending
to
take
Paul
aboard
there,
for
he
had
arranged
it
this
way.
He
himself
was
intending
to
go
there
by
land.
14
When
he
met
us
in
Assos,
we
took
him
aboard
and
went
to
Mitylene.
15
We
set
sail
from
there,
and
on
the
following
day
we
arrived
off
Chios.
The
next
day
we
approached
Samos,
and
the
day
after
that
we
arrived
at
Miletus.
16
For
Paul
had
decided
to
sail
past
Ephesus
so
as
not
to
spend
time
in
the
province
of
Asia,
for
he
was
hurrying
to
arrive
in
Jerusalem,
if
possible,
by
the
day
of
Pentecost.
17
From
Miletus
he
sent
a
message
to
Ephesus,
telling
the
elders
of
the
church
to
come
to
him.
18
When
they
arrived,
he
said
to
them,
"You
yourselves
know
how
I
lived
the
whole
time
I
was
with
you,
from
the
first
day
I
set
foot
in
the
province
of
Asia,
19
serving
the
Lord
with
all
humility
and
with
tears,
and
with
the
trials
that
happened
to
me
because
of
the
plots
of
the
Jews.
20
You
know
that
I
did
not
hold
back
from
proclaiming
to
you
anything
that
would
be
helpful,
and
from
teaching
you
publicly
and
from
house
to
house,
21
testifying
to
both
Jews
and
Greeks
about
repentance
toward
God
and
faith
in
our
Lord
Jesus.
22
And
now,
compelled
by
the
Spirit,
I
am
going
to
Jerusalem
without
knowing
what
will
happen
to
me
there,
23
except
that
the
Holy
Spirit
warns
me
in
town
after
town
that
imprisonment
and
persecutions
are
waiting
for
me.
24
But
I
do
not
consider
my
life
worth
anything
to
myself,
so
that
I
may
finish
my
task
and
the
ministry
that
I
received
from
the
Lord
Jesus,
to
testify
to
the
good
news
of
God's
grace.
25
"And
now
I
know
that
none
of
you
among
whom
I
went
around
proclaiming
the
kingdom
will
see
me
again.
26
Therefore
I
declare
to
you
today
that
I
am
innocent
of
the
blood
of
you
all.
27
For
I
did
not
hold
back
from
announcing
to
you
the
whole
purpose
of
God.
28
Watch
out
for
yourselves
and
for
all
the
flock
of
which
the
Holy
Spirit
has
made
you
overseers,
to
shepherd
the
church
of
God
that
he
obtained
with
the
blood
of
his
own
Son.
29
I
know
that
after
I
am
gone
fierce
wolves
will
come
in
among
you,
not
sparing
the
flock.
30
Even
from
among
your
own
group
men
will
arise,
teaching
perversions
of
the
truth
to
draw
the
disciples
away
after
them.
31
Therefore
be
alert,
remembering
that
night
and
day
for
three
years
I
did
not
stop
warning
each
one
of
you
with
tears.
32
And
now
I
entrust
you
to
God
and
to
the
message
of
his
grace.
This
message
is
able
to
build
you
up
and
give
you
an
inheritance
among
all
those
who
are
sanctified.
33
I
have
desired
no
one's
silver
or
gold
or
clothing.
34
You
yourselves
know
that
these
hands
of
mine
provided
for
my
needs
and
the
needs
of
those
who
were
with
me.
35
By
all
these
things,
I
have
shown
you
that
by
working
in
this
way
we
must
help
the
weak,
and
remember
the
words
of
the
Lord
Jesus
that
he
himself
said,
'It
is
more
blessed
to
give
than
to
receive.'"
36
When
he
had
said
these
things,
he
knelt
down
with
them
all
and
prayed.
37
They
all
began
to
weep
loudly,
and
hugged
Paul
and
kissed
him,
38
especially
saddened
by
what
he
had
said,
that
they
were
not
going
to
see
him
again.
Then
they
accompanied
him
to
the
ship.

that
troubles
and
even
jail

24
I
don't
care
about
my

thing
is
that
I

I
want
to
finish
the

the

gave
me
to
doto
tell
people
the
Good

about
God's

the

26
So
today
I
can
tell
you
one
thing
that
I
am
sure
of:
God
will
not
blame
me
if
some
of
you
are
not
saved.
27
I
can
say
this
because
I
know
that
I
told
you
everything
that
God
wants
you
to
know.
28
Be
careful
for
yourselves
and
for
all
the
people
God
has
given
you.
The
Holy
Spirit
gave
you
the
work
of
caring
for
this
flock.
You
must
be
like
shepherds
to
the
church
of
God.
This
is
the
church
that
God
bought
with
his
own
blood.
29
I
know
that
after
I
leave,
some
men
will
come
into
your
group.
They
will
be
like
wild
wolves
and
will
try
to
destroy
the
flock.
30
Also,
men
from
your
own
group
will
begin
to
teach
things
that
are
wrong.
They
will
lead
some
of
the
Lord's
followers
away
from
the
truth
to
follow
them.
31
So
be
careful!
And
always
remember
what
I
did
during
the
three
years
I
was
with
you.
I
never
stopped
reminding
each
one
of
you
how
you
should
live,
counseling
you
day
and
night
and
crying
over
you.
32
"Now
I
am
putting
you
in
God's
care.
I
am
depending
on
the
message
about
his
grace
to
make
you
strong.
That
message
is
able
to
give
you
the
blessings
that
God
gives
to
all
his
holy
people.
33
When
I
was
with
you,
I
never
wanted
anyone's
money
or
fine
clothes.
34
You
know
that
I
always
worked
to
take
care
of
my
own
needs
and
the
needs
of
the
people
who
were
with
me.
35
I
always
showed
you
that
you
should
work
just
as
I
did
and
help
people
who
are
weak.
I
taught
you
to
remember
the
words
of
the
Lord
Jesus:
'You
will
have
a
greater
blessing
when
you
give
than
when
you
receive.'"
36
When
Paul
finished
speaking,
he
knelt
down,
and
they
all
prayed
together.
37
They
cried
and
cried.
They
were
especially
sad
because
Paul
had
said
they
would
never
see
him
again.
They
hugged
him
and
kissed
him.
Then
they
went
with
him
to
the
ship
to
say
goodbye.
1 Corinthians 15:3
3
I
gave
you
the
message
that
I
received.
I
told
you
the
most
important
truths:
that
Christ
died
for
our
sins,
as
the
Scriptures
say;
Hebrews 10:5
5
So
when
Christ
came
into
the
world
he
said,
"You
don't
want
sacrifices
and
offerings,
but
you
have
prepared
a
body
for
me.
